Isaiah 53 is one of the best places to reflect on the meaning of Christ’s death. It’s as if the prophet penned these words beneath the cross itself. The answer to our question is wrapped up in the following (Big Idea): It was on the cross that One who was utterly undeserving of wrath suffered on behalf of those who utterly deserved hell.
