Your standing before God depends on grace, not your performance. God’s favor is 100% unmerited every day. The tendency of most people is to live as though God’s favor depends on the kind of day we’ve had. Have you ever thought after a “bad” day that you’ve forfeited God’s favor at least until tomorrow? Remember this truth: God will never favor you more or less than on the day you trusted Christ and your sins were cancelled.
